((heading off for the night, see you all tomorrow or whenever))
“Tha’s new…ya got blue on ya boyo. I like ‘et. Different is a good thing.” He smiles and holds his hand out, “Aodhan, pleasure t’meet’cha.”
"The pleasure’s all mine. You can call me Leo." He smiled and took Aodhan’s hand into his own, giving it a gentle shake. "If you don’t mind me asking, where’d you get your accent? I don’t meet very many people who speak like you around here, so I was curious."
Furrowing her brows down at the message, she couldn’t possibly fathom what he meant, so she just waited patiently until he teleported in. Although she was preparing for him to pop out of nowhere, she flinched when he appeared, but didn’t hit him. “Hey, I didn’t hit you this time!” Blue-Jay declared, as if this was some kind of accomplishment.
“Dancing?” She tilted her head to the side, the word almost foreign to her. “Goodluck with that one, I can’t dance to save my life” She admitted, feeling a bit bad that she couldn’t. “I’m sorry, i’ll just step on you and trip and everything. I would if I could, but I don’t want to embarass or hurt you!”
Upon hearing her words, Leo’s heart dropped a little. He already knew she wasn’t exactly into these things, but he was fairly certain she’d never attended a formal dance in her lifetime, and neither had he. Everyone should try everything at least once, he often thought to himself.
"Are you sure? I don’t care if we get embarrassed or if you’re bad at dancing! The dance isn’t even for an entire month, so I could teach you…" He conjured up the saddest look he could, then stared into her eyes, "…Ah, I just wanted to try something new with you… But if you really don’t want to, that’s okay… I-I guess…” he trailed off, looking towards the ground and backing away slightly. “Sorry I asked…” he mumbled, glancing up just a little.
"Haha, oh my god, uh… Oh, there was this one time I was walking down the street in a city where… well, everything there was kind of hectic and traffic was out of control, so I almost got hit by a car. I was fine, but I did get kind of startled, and accidentally… uh, made the potato cart in the vegetable stand next to me explode. I had to pay for all of them, and deal with a very unhappy vegetable-seller.
…Yep, I lead a very interesting life.”
Flipping through a magazine filled with weapons and such, Blue-Jay almost didn’t notice her communicator beeping across the room. “Hm” She hummed, kicking her chair out from under her and shuffling toward the beeping noises, drumming her fingers on her thighs as she did so.
Taking the circular communicator in her hands, she read the message aloud before tapping a message back to Leo.
(Text to: TopHat):Yeah, I’m here :). Should I be afraid or…?
[text]: no need to be afraid! its something fun, i promise =]
He smiled as the message sent, then made his way over to the Almost-Cave. When he arrived at the door, he knocked twice before teleporting in. “Hey,” he waved, walking over to where she was sitting. “I…” am totally unsure of how to go about asking a girl out to a dance… he thought to himself, then dismissed the thought.. “Uh, I… was just wondering, would you… be interested in dancing with me? L-Like, at a dance? There… There’s one coming up, and I thought… it might be nice?”
